Welcome to BookIT. By accessing or using the BookIT platform at bookitapp.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.
By creating an account or using BookIT in any way, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and agreed to these Terms, and have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or your business.
BookIT is an online appointment scheduling and business management platform. We provide tools that allow service-based businesses ("Business Users") to manage bookings and communicate with clients, and allow end users ("Clients") to discover and book services. BookIT acts as a platform connecting businesses and clients and is not a party to any service agreement between them.
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@bookitapp.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
Business Users who subscribe to BookIT agree to: (a) provide accurate information about their services, pricing, and availability; (b) honor confirmed bookings made through the platform; (c) treat clients with respect and professionalism; (d) comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to their services; and (e) not use BookIT for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose. Business Users are solely responsible for the services they provide to clients and for any disputes arising from those services.
Clients using BookIT agree to: (a) provide accurate contact information when booking; (b) honor appointments or provide reasonable notice of cancellation; (c) treat business owners and their staff with respect; and (d) not submit false, misleading, or abusive content through the platform. Clients acknowledge that BookIT does not vet or endorse any business listed on the platform.
Business accounts require a paid subscription of $50 per month after any applicable free trial period. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
New Business Users may receive a free trial period as specified at signup. At the end of the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using Business features. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trials at any time.
You agree not to: (a) use BookIT for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose; (b) impersonate any person or entity; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform; (d) transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code; (e) scrape, crawl, or extract data from BookIT without permission; (f) harass, threaten, or abuse other users; or (g) use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.
The BookIT platform, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by BookIT and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of our platform without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as business descriptions or profile photos) and grant BookIT a limited license to display and use that content to operate the platform.
BookIT is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for any services provided by Business Users. Clients engage with Business Users at their own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookIT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of BookIT shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use BookIT ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and disputes survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of BookIT after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
